A new plasterboard recycling facility is opening in Kent with an annual capacity of up to 40,000 tonnes providing businesses in South East England with a cost effective method of disposing of plasterboard waste.
Countrystyle Recycling Ltd will shortly complete the development of their new plasterboard recycling and gypsum recovery operation at Ridham near Sittingbourne, Kent. This will have an annual capacity of between 20,000 and 40,000 tonnes and operations will commence in March/April 2009.
This
plasterboard recycling site is adjacent to a neighbouring KNAUF plasterboard factory with whom Countryside Recycling already work, therefore providing a very convenient and economical method of returning recovered gypsum back to a local company.
Countrystyle Recycling Ltd aim to provide plasterboard collection services throughout the South East to current and future customers resulting in a fully transparent audit trail. The types of plasterboard collection services being offered include:
• Collection by high cube walking floor articulated vehicles.
• Collection by RollOn/Off bin vehicles.
• Collection by RollOn/Off closed containers suitable for C/A sites.
All plasterboard waste deliveries will need to be free from the following contamination:
• Foilback board, insulated or melamine surface board.
• Plastic, glass, metal, wood, cardboard brick, concrete, soils.
• Containers and material must be free from water and any liquid.
To start with, a gate fee of £45.00 per tonne will be charged for this highly cost effective solution to the disposal of plasterboard waste.
